Johnson Controls | Engineering Labs

Dynamic provided the HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design for the complete remodel of an existing office space into an engineering lab for five (5) departments including a UL test lab, materials test lab, actuator test lab, valve test lab, and a refrigeration lab.  The space was created with the intent of showcasing products manufactured by Johnson Controls with a walkable customer path through the living laboratory.

Mechanical work included the demolition of an existing air handling unit serving a portion of the existing space and installing a new 30,000 CFM air handling unit in an existing penthouse.  New chilled water, hot water, and steam piping was required from the central plants to serve the new lab space.  A new 50-ton process air cooled chilled was provided on the roof to serve the need for year-round chilled water for the lab spaces.
