Taking the time to plan your project is one of the most important steps in the design process. We have extensive experience in conducting detailed existing equipment assessments, performing feasibility studies, and working with the project team to develop the goals of the project.
We strive to provide multiple options to aid in the decision making process using energy modeling and life cycle cost comparisons to help make the best decision with the information available.
DESIGN SERVICES
Design work is the main focus of our work and is the best way for clients to receive our expertise to implement plans from conceptual planning to turnover. We will provide mechanical engineering services for HVAC design including facility planning, central heating and cooling utility plants, energy conservation, process systems, air and hydronic distribution systems, industrial ventilation, and energy compliant design and submittals such as Focus on Energy & LEED.
We are adept to operating in multiple project arrangements including design-bid-build, design-bid, design assist, and integrated project delivery.
BIM & 3D MODELING
The use of building information modeling (BIM) and 3D design and drafting is of paramount importance on jobs today as engineers are being asked to do more with less. We design all our projects to the extent possible using Revit as the software of choice due to multiple advantages over standard CAD drawings. We have successfully created extremely complex models, coordinated designs, provided building walkthroughs, and colored renderings using Revit software. Our opinion is this provides the client with superior coordination and three dimensional modeling to visualize the design, while creating better construction documents.
DESIGN-BUILD
At Dynamic, we are suited to operate in design-build projects where we can operate as an owner’s representative in selection and oversight of design-build contractors, as we have operated in this role multiple times.
Under this design approach, our work would includes scope drawings, performance specifications, design review, shop drawing review, and field observations during construction to ensure the design intent is met under the design-build construction process.
CONSTRUCTION SERVICES
Construction administration is where most engineers disappear. We believe a strong and responsive presence during construction is critical to ensure the final vision comes to life as intended.
Depending on the project, our construction administration services can range from responding to requests for information, shop drawing review, and construction observation reports. If desired, we have also provided value in bidder scoping and analysis, project scheduling, and managing construction field meetings.
PEER REVIEWS
Dynamic can also provide independent, third-party peer reviews of drawings at any stage of design or construction to provide feedback on feasibility, constructability, and efficiency of system selection and/or building design.
Peer review work can also include troubleshooting deficiencies on existing projects and providing reports that will outline the description of the problem, the nature of the deficiency, and a list of options for remedial action including estimated budget costs for implementation.
