Johnson Financial Group | Cathedral Place Buildout
Dynamic provided the HVAC design for Johnson Financial Group’s relocation to downtown Milwaukee. The new office space consists of the top two (2) floors in Cathedral Place off of Cathedral Square in downtown offing breathtaking views of the City.
The HVAC design reused the existing self-contained serving each dedicated floor with VAV boxes and hot water reheat at the zone level. The space boasts approximately forty-five (45) zones with all private offices having a dedicated VAV box for occupant comfort. The existing branch ductwork was virtually completely reworked based on the new floor plan with hot water piping and fin pipe radiation adjusted for the new space.
served by two (2) variable air volume, roof mounted air handling units with hot water and remote air cooled condensing units. The 30’ tall lobby and supporting spaces are served by a single unit and the auditorium is served by the second unit with both utilizing VAV boxes with hot water coils for individual space control. During design it was determined the existing hot water heating system could support the addition, saving the district the need to add separate boilers for the new addition.
