Pine Havens | New Serving Kitchen

Pine Havens retained Dynamic to provide a complete remodel of their existing kitchen space that serves all their residents at multiple facilities.  During the design process it evident the existing kitchen space located in the basement of the building was insufficient due to space access, clearances, and the new equipment that would be required to serve produce meals.  Because of this, Dynamic recommended relocating the entire kitchen to a new, unused location within the facility to save downtime within the existing kitchen, create a more user-friendly production area for the staff, and eliminate the need to cook food offsite and deliver it creating a win-win situation.

The new kitchen space is designed to be served with a packaged air handling unit located outside on grade adjacent to the kitchen and can provide demand controlled heating and cooling to the kitchen to match the exhaust requirements of the space based on the kitchen cooking activities to reduce energy consumption.  In addition to creating the new serving kitchen, the existing kitchen was repurposed into a smaller warming kitchen and the additional space was converted into a conference room and more dining space for the residents.
